Modern studio portraits with a clean, fashion-inspired style

I’m Mai, a Sudbury-based photographer and co-owner of Phamai Photography Studio. I create polished, professional images for families, individuals, and businesses using expert lighting and a refined approach.

My work has been featured in international media including BBC, CNN, and HELLO! Thailand. I also contribute editorial and creative imagery through Shutterstock Editorial (Rex Features) and Getty Images, and have worked on a variety of productions, including serving as a guest photographer on Temptation Island Romania.

My photography journey began in Thailand, where I worked with newspapers and magazines before moving into freelance photography and opening my first studio. In 2020, my husband and I opened our studio in Sudbury, Ontario, where we now focus on creating high-quality portraits in a comfortable and professional environment.

While studio portraits are at the core of my work, I also offer wedding, event, and sports photography, both locally and for destination work.

My goal is to create images that feel clean, confident, and timeless—while making each session relaxed and enjoyable.
